What really makes the turon stand out here, as I said, is the consistency. It's a simple treat, but like all things that are simple, the attention to detail stands out even more, and they really take pride in their work. Besides the turon, the chicken empanadas are delicious! I've honestly not generally been a fan of most Filipino empanadas growing up, but the chicken empanadas here are generously stuffed, well seasoned, and enjoyably moist. After some questioning, I was able to learn that they stop cooking about 2 hours before closing, so that if you want to make sure they have what you want if you come any later than that, you should call ahead and reserve your quantity. ”
